OYB Scholarship

Orgeon Youth Basketball Scholarship

Oregon Youth Basketball Scholarship
Begun in 2013, the Oregon Youth Basketball Association (OYB) provides two (2) one thousand hundred dollar ($1000.00) scholarships to selected (if possible one to a female and one to a male applicant) eligible student applicants. The OYB scholarship award provides educational assistance to the graduating seniors planning to continue their education at a 2-year or 4-year college. OYB recognizes the strong partnership with the Oregon School District and the importance of supporting opportunities for continued education for the youth in our community.

OYB will have a three-person scholarship committee that reviews all scholarship applicants. The OYB scholarship committee will review each applicant based on the following criteria:

4. How Will the Awards Be Administered?

  • Award winners will be announced at the annual OHS Honors Night.

  • The scholarship monies may be used for tuition and fees, books and supplies, room and board.
  • In order to receive payment, a student must provide a completed Verification of Enrollment to the OYB Association. OYB will then issue our check, payable to the student, and mail it directly to the student in the name of the student. We will notify the student when we mail the check.
